CIRQL

Privacy Policy

Pre-launch version. A full policy, reviewed by a lawyer, will replace this before the app launches. Until then, this page describes what this website actually does. No more, no less.

Who we are

CIRQL Ltd, incorporated in England and Wales. This policy covers this website (cirql.uk) only, not the CIRQL app, which has not launched yet and will have its own policy when it does.

What we collect, and when

Browsing this site collects nothing. We only hold data you type into a form yourself:

  • Organiser preorders: after payment, we ask for your name, community name, and email address.
  • Society sign-ups: your name, university, society name, and email address.

What we do with it

Form submissions are stored in a private spreadsheet on Google Workspace, accessible only to the CIRQL founders. We use them for one thing: contacting you about your preorder or society setup, and getting you onboarded at launch. We don't sell it, share it, or add you to marketing lists you didn't ask for.

Payments

Preorder payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store them. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that step. Demo bookings are handled by Calendly under the same principle.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you. Email info@cirql.uk and we'll sort it. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days. If you cancel a preorder, we delete your submission along with the refund.
